Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot; others transform a yellow spot into the sun.

just some lamps that i thought were cute. the first one is just interesting to me. i like the detail. the second i want. the embroidery is amazing and i like the dangling balls. (which i am sure is not the correct term for them!) - also from Anthropologie.

i'm loving the colors and the simplicity of Tracey Bush's work. i wish i could buy this and hang it in my house. i think a mobile of these butterflies would be amazing. especially in a grand entry where the ceiling reaches the sky and you just look up and see these little postal letters flying by! http://www.artstar.clara.net/traceybushsold.htm

prima ballerina

i'm loving this look from Anthropologie. might have to go check it out this weekend!

judging by the cover i'd like this book

amazing work! ran across this on the Blackeiffel blog. Su Blackwell has taking the imagination of a reader to a whole other level. her detail is unbelievable. i fell in love with her work as soon as i saw it.check it out: http://www.sublackwell.co.uk

shoppin around.

possibly the most amazing candle i've ever smelled. i am so addicted i have them in almost every room (well, only 2 rooms right now, i need to get some more) - and you can use the jars when you're done. just put them in the freezer for a couple of minutes and the wax pops right out.enjoy.

capri blue candle-in-a-jar
with the spark of a match, these jarred candles whisk you away to citrus groves, faraway islands and cozy European cafes. Contained in cut glass, with an engraved brass lid.

my favorite flavor:
*Volcano (coral, turquoise)- sugared oranges, lemons and limes $25.00 at Anthropologie (my fav store)

Pink = Love & Brown = Remember to Breathe ♥

my brother was just accepted to SCAD, so of course i'm checking out the site. ran across their ShopSCAD page and was looking at some of the art the students are creating. i fell in ♥ with this quilt in particular. wish i could buy it... i'm sure she's going to do great things.

Pink = Love & Brown = Remember to Breathe Quilt by fibers artist Maura McDonnell.
Made from recycled crazy fabrics with secret embellishments. Quilt measures approximately 36” x 36”. One-of-a-kind.

she also made these quilt sleeping bags which are adorable! i may even consider going camping if i had one of these! :)

the art department

i ran across this company on another blog and visited the site +just fell in love with this design. it comes in a vase or ornament style. i just think it is so whimsical. it makes me feel like i'm laying in a field + staring at the sky with little flower stems flowing into my view. this piece also made it onto Oprah's Olist. enjoy: http://artdep.com/
